Mobile phones have transformed from being an item of luxury to a necessity. There is no doubt that today, mobile phones cater to more needs than our telecommunication requirements- be it entertainment or utility. But the basic purpose remains the same; without being able to make and receive calls, a handset will not be a phone. Although, most latest mobiles come loaded with many advanced features like touchscreens and cameras, the demand for cheap mobile phones have not really gone down. There are many reasons to this. Firstly these phones are more popular in emerging markets of the developing countries. Their affordability makes them highly sought-after and makes them available to a larger mass. Secondly many people use more than one phone and in such case a cheap phone easily doubles up as a secondary phone for making and receiving calls. There is one advantage too for using these phones. Many of us are very negligent and have a habit of losing phones at regular intervals. Replacing a high-end handset could cost a lot but with cheap devices one can always afford to lose one.
Some cheap phones can be great in regard to performance. They are also immune to many of the software faults and viruses that high-end phones are prone to. Let us have a look at some of the attractive looking and upcoming cheap mobile phones from various makers that are due for release very soon.
